Hello folks!
It's been a while since I established this blog, with not much in the way of progress. I think it's high time I gave this little side project of mine a bit of a kick-start!
Just today a couple of sets of figures arrived that I ordered especially for this project, the Saljuq Emirs Court from Perry Miniatures Crusades range, and four Sikh Army: Infantry Marching in ''Paag'' from Studio Miniatures Sikh War range. Two of the figures from the former (Perry) pack will become the physical representations of Mahmud I and his rival, Sikander Quli. The figures from the last (Studio Miniatures) pack are dated far past the nominal 1720s setting of Pashmaristan, but they fit the place and I can shoehorn them in as European-trained members of Mahmud's bodyguard/army.
Since everyone loves to paint new things (and since I'm no exception), expect to see some progress here soon! Thanks for looking!

The Men Who Would Be Kings
Wargaming an 18th Century Imagi-nation set in India

Welcome!
Welcome to my blog, which discusses my 18th Century Imagi-Nation of Pashmaristan. Set in the region which would become part of modern-day India, Pashmaristan in the early 18th Century is a country ripe with wealth, intrigue and war. Take a look at the Campaign History for a more detailed look at Pashmaristan, its neighbors, and it's political climate.
This blog will mainly focus on wargaming the various fights and battles which occurred and formed the history of Pashmaristan. The figures used in this project are all 28mm scale, and come from a variety of manufacturers; in fact, this project was conceived as a way of using some of the figures that I had but didn't have uses for. I hope you enjoy the ride!
